Medi N Research, a cosmetics and medical device development and manufacturing company, has obtained certificate of Startups from Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) on August 19th.
Korea Technology Finance Corporation's venture company certification is a system that selects companies that need to be supported at government level by evaluating items such as technology, growth potential, and financial stability of companies.
Companies that have obtained venture business certification will be given tax breaks such as corporate tax, income tax, and acquisition tax, as well as preferential treatment when reviewing government policy funds.
According to the explanation, the technology evaluated by Medi N Research through the Korea Technology Finance Corporation is about research and utilization ability to extract water-soluble polymers (EPS) containing anti-aging ingredients from radiation-resistant microorganisms (Deinococcus radiodurans) found in Baengnokdam lake.
Medi N Research explained, "EPS extracted from Deinococcus radiodurans removes free radicals induced by UV or radiation to help suppress skin aging and regenerate skin."
CEO of Medi N Research said “We were able to ensure the excellence of the technology once more through venture company certification. We will use this patented technology to develop bio-antiaging cosmetics containing EPS such as skin whitening, wrinkle improvement, and UV protection, and will release commercialized products in 2021."
